Sticky: Campaign Contest - Post Your Custom Levels Here!
« on: October 20, 2008, 10:42:42 PM »
This is a contest for user-created levels or campaigns. The winning entries will be voted on by the community (in this forum in the form of a poll) and the winner will receive a free copy of our next game when it is released, and have the option (if the winner wishes it) of that campaign being included with the full version of the game.

To enter, just post your level(s) in this thread. You can make any number of entries. If you don't know how to upload files, just email me (rinkuhero at gmail dot com) and I'll upload them and post them up for you. The deadline for entry is May 30, 2009: the 2-year anniversary of Immortal Defense's release.

EDIT: Because there were so few entries, anyone who entered won.

List of Campaigns:

A contest would be great if enough people submit entries. That prize sounds plenty motivating.

I think custom campaign would be better than custom level. There's really only so much you can do with a single level. It's a path, with enemy and point limitations. But a campaign is also a story.

That's true. And if someone really wanted to, they could always create a campaign of a single level. So I could just call it a custom campaign (with no limit as to how many levels you use) contest.

I'm not sure how to enable that, I don't see the option. If you don't have your own host, you can email them to me (rinkuhero@gmail.com) and I'll host them and provide a link to the others.

Mister rinku here are my levels, i got six of them in all

http://rapidshare.com/files/167167537/Brown.zip.html

a warning though, level six is EXTREMELY broken. not "unfair" broken, like unworking broken. but it's okay.
thanks for the great game :D

Excellent, thanks, will try that one out today too (sorry for taking so long to try yours AROBO, I'll try them both today).

As an aside, I think a good end-date for this contest would be May 30, 2009, since that'd give people enough time to create them, and that's the two-year anniversary of Immortal Defense's release.

Okay, I played AROBO's (I'll get to Krispykorn's next). I like the second level especially, it was the hardest to me. The final level was also very nice. The text is also pretty distinctive. One bug though: your level 4 doesn't link to your level 5. Your level 5 links to a file that doesn't exist, too. Overall I'm impressed with the variety of levels.

Playing Krispykorn's:

The first two levels are good so far. Third level was way too easy though, perhaps the starting cache was a big high, or the time a bit short.

The levels aren't connected to each other (so money doesn't carry over etc.) but that's okay if it was intentional.

I can't finish level 4, but I'll keep trying until I do and post when I manage to!

I finished 4. Interesting 4 does connect to 5, but none of the others connect to one another. I also couldn't finish 6, it was a bit too hard for me. Good overall.

I'll send an email to everyone else who bought the game about the contest soon, in hopes of getting more entries.
