Let's Play
« on: February 07, 2011, 02:23:36 PM »
Hi all,

I'm writing a Let's Play Immortal Defense at RPGCodex.net, where the people have a soft spot for indie games and already have a rather large collection of Let's Plays for lesser known games. Any feedback or comment on Immortal Defense and the Let's Play itself would be very much appreciated, the link is here.

I've just posted the end of the demo part of the game, that is Campaign 2. I will try to post an update every week or every other week, so that I should be over at some point of March or April.

Cheers

Can't say the game translates well into screenshots.  I'd suggest cropping out the irrevelent bits to streamline the viewing a bit more, and a bit more commentary might balance things out.   But it's good to see people spread this game around.

Thanks! I thought of doing a video Let's Play, since this is a very dynamic game, where the way the ememies or projectiles move is crucial. However I'm not sure how many people would bear my atrocious English accent.

I agree with your suggestion, from now on I will try to focus on the plot, and just show the Path and where I place Points for every mission. I'll be aiming for 100% success of course, and maybe I will still show Point placements that didn't work for me -- so that the readers understand that this game is challenging, at least for me.

If you have the means to do video, you should pursue it.   You can use captions for commentary, if you're unsure about your voice.  Regardless of what you do, keep up the great work!
